We are members of the Structural Timber Association and have been awarded ‘STA Assure Gold’ status at our first audit in 2022 – the highest level of achievement. The STA’s mission is to enhance quality and drive product innovation through technical guidance and research, underpinned by a members’ quality standard assessment – the STA Assure Membership and Quality Standards Scheme.
For years now, we have been working on streamlining our management and quality systems and are delighted to announce that alongside STA Gold Assure we have also secured our CATG SIP Mark and ISO9001 accreditations in 2022.
CATG SIP Mark is a third-party certification specially designed for SIP manufacturers that includes an audit of our factory production control systems. To achieve SIP Mark you are required to:

Have a robust and documented factory production control system

Adopt all the controls for design, cutting, and manufacturing

Carry out weekly controls

Ensure our staff are trained

Ensure our plant and equipment are calibrated and maintained

Ensure our product labels and supporting Frame Mark documents are correct
ISO9001 is a certification of quality standards that provides several benefits to our business and our clients;

Structural Warranty
As part of our membership of the Structural Timber Association (STA), Ecologic SIPs are fully accepted by Building Control authorities, and we are recognised by all major warranty providers. The STA represents over 750 businesses that operate across the timber construction industry including suppliers, manufacturers, erectors, and designers.
Their latest quality initiative – the STA Assure Membership and Quality Standards Scheme, is designed to benefit both clients and members by offering reassurances by promoting the differing accreditations and quality standards held by individual STA member companies.

Our STA Assure Audit Results
In 2023, our independent auditors scored us a thumping 97% compliance level overall from the assessment (an improvement from 94% in 2022), which involved a deep dive analysis across the entire business, reviewing; our management systems and procedures, our SIPs workshop and quality control systems, how we control documented information, how we manage our physical resources, our design and engineering on our SIPs structures, our control measures and how we record non-conformance, our purchasing of materials, how we measure team output (KPI’s), and importantly how we analyse and strive for a LEAN culture of continuous improvement. We’re extremely grateful to everyone who played their part in helping us prepare for the audit and are so pleased with some of the assessor’s feedback.

Manufacturers Warranty
Our commitment to sourcing sustainable, robust, and reliable materials means that our high-quality SIP panels are built to last. Specialist knowledge and genuine dedication to transparency and minimal environmental impact run throughout the ethos of our in-house team of expert professionals. Whether we craft bespoke SIPs or supply and install SIPs structures, you’ll be in safe hands.
We’re confident in our products, so we offer a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty on our SIPs. In the unlikely event that any of our goods prove defective through faulty materials or workmanship, we will replace or repair them as required with no questions asked.
Please note, some aspects are beyond our control, in which case our no-questions warranty would not apply for obvious reasons. In general, these are things like inadequate storage facilities on-site, natural disasters such as flooding or the quality of pre-and post-site works carried out by other trade professionals.
